Scam Warning 🚨

Dear Residents,
Please be aware that scammers often find a way to make their emails look like they are from an official organization. If you ever receive an email that looks like it is from a JHLA board member or related party asking you to purchase gift cards or submit an online payment, that is NOT from the association and should NOT be acted on. You can always reach out to anyone on the executive board if you have questions about the validity of an email (see "contact us" on the jaynoheights.com website). If someone mentions to you that they received an email from you that you did not send, email providers suggest that you change your password immediately.
Thank you,
JHLA
Additional information: Be aware the scammer might also send an email from one of the residents in the community. A scammer obtained one of our resident's email address and sent another resident a request to buy gift cards from Amazon, so a scammed email might not just come from Jayno Heights. It may come from an email associated with any resident in the neighborhood. The best thing for a person receiving suspicious emails to do is to check the spelling and to verify that the person actually sent the email to them, especially if they are asked to make a payment or buy something.
